Jackson Aldrich

At the age of 9, Jackson had an idea that led to the creation of a non-profit organization, Sports-Share, which collects and donates used sports gear to those in need. Eleven years later, it’s still going strong. It has donated over six thousand items and expanded to include eight different sports.


Niloufar Khonsari

Nilou was born in Iran under the harsh rule of the Shah and lived through the Iran-Iraq War. She fled the country and eventually received a law degree in the US, where she created Pangea Legal Services. Its mission is to provide services through direct legal representation and to advocate on behalf of immigrant communities through policy advocacy, education and legal empowerment efforts.


Sarah Zebb

Sarah owns and runs Therapy Salon in Los Altos. She also donates hair and other cosmetic treatments for cancer patients and holds fund raising events for organizations that help cancer patients.


Luis Sandoval

Luis grew up in an immigrant family and worked alongside his father in the fields of the Salinas Valley. He is now the Executive Director of Building Skills Partnership, whose goal is to improve the quality of life of janitorial workers in seven California cities.


Millicent Grant

After a personal tragedy, Millicent left a career in banking to devote her talents to volunteering for the East Palo Alto Senior Center, where she is now Executive Director and is renowned for her caring, kindness and generosity to the seniors.


Robert Freeman

A project assigned to Robert high school class grew into the creation of the Global Uplift Project, which builds small-scale, high impact infrastructure projects in the developing world. The non-profit has built over 180 projects in 24 of the poorest countries of the world.
